JimD
That red car is not a DTS; it's a DHS. The Deville has a hood ornament, column shift and no fog lamps. The DHS has column shift but no hood ornament and no fogs. The DTS has console shift and fogs and no hood ornament. And that's before we get to the powertrain differences. Jim Drive your car. JasonA
Jim, that sure looks like a regular DeVille to me. Didn't the DHS have the analog gauges? That one has digital gauges. Yup, DHS has analog gauges and wood steering wheel. The grill is not chrome either. It looks like a Deville, though I would have expected a stand up hood crest. Logan
Wrong car. That car has the older sheet metal. His new one is a 2007. As for the hood, I got my DTS hood when the hail damaged one was replaced. Another way to tell, on DTS the lower trim is painted body color. JasonA
Yeah, the decklid and the digital gauges all say "DeVille". My guess is the hood was swapped to a different hood. I doubt he had a DHS that had the decklid changed (or at least the 'DHS' emblem changed), the analog gauges swapped back to digital, and the steering wheel removed for a non-wood wheel. Ranger, did the DHS also have the real wood that the DTS got, or the faux wood of the standard DeVille (on the instrument cluster)? That dash wood in the '03 in the photo is definitely "faux". Logan
Another good point. That sure looks like the plastic wood dash pieces. Maybe front end collision damage. I have the same hood and grille on my fake DTS. I also have the 'foglight' facia. sonjaab
Yea Guys...................Thats my OLD Deville and its a 03 ! I always wondered why it had no hood crest. I will also say its a base model too! I will note that the dealer installed the chrome garbage on the window pillars also along with some pinstripes with a Caddy crest in them. My o7 DTS is solid diamond white and I assume a level 3 model because it has every option. The Nav is pretty neat but will note it also controls the Bose sound system (which sucks....Sounds terrible...But may not have it figured out and adjusted correctly!) Not to mention a bench seat !!!!!! It is a pre-owned from Boca with 3900 miles and was traded to a MB dealer then auction to the Daytona dealer. Not a bad deal for $28k. The gave me $15k for the 03. I shopped new 07s at home in NY but was only offered $10k but the lowball is expected since I get the GM employee deal. Even with the GM deal a 50k sticker new 07 would of cost almost $40k.......................... It was a moment of weakness !!!!!!!!!!!!!..............geo Sorry no pics. Been on the road from Fla to NY.............geo 93 DeVille-13 Chevy Impala 72 GTO - 77 Triumph Bonneville 84 Z-28 Syracuse NY

Been on the road from Fla to NY.............geo sanjaab, I have a 2006 DTS Performance Sedan. It is the White Lightning color. It also has the Nav and BOSE sound. It took me a little while to figure it out also. It comes from the factory set to all FLAT response. No bass... no treble and no mid range. Sounds terrible that way. Sounds fairly good ... once you get it adjusted. If I can help... let me know.
JasonA
I was also fairly unimpressed with the Bose system in my '01. It took months of fiddling and fine-tuning it, but it sounds EXCELLENT when you get it set up for how you like it. After having it, I wouldn't have one without it now. JasonA
I still find that is a touch on the flat side when played very quietly/softly. It seemed that the non-Bose system in my '97 SLS had a bit more "sound definition" when played real low. But turn it up and play the music loud, and the Bose system sounds like you're sitting in a concert hall. Jason(2001 STS, White Diamond) "When you turn your car on...does it return the favor?" sonjaab
This is my 3rd Deville with the Bose system. My 1st was a 90 Deville with the Delco/Bose gold series CD system and that mother ROCKED! It was the best sounding car system I had ever heard. My 03 had the Bose also................. Still haven't had a chance to figure this one out ! Since I got back from Daytona we have had tons of snow! 3 feet in 1 day too! My poor truck has been having the snot worked out of it plowing daily............... Gonna be lovin' that 5/100 GM warranty cuz something $pendy will break! I only hope this Caddy will be as troublefree as my last 4 even tho the 03 had only 50k on it while the others had over 100k when traded..............geo 93 DeVille-13 Chevy Impala 72 GTO - 77 Triumph Bonneville 84 Z-28 Syracuse NY
