WarrenJ
By David Eifrig, MD, in Retirement Millionaire: "According to its own financial statements last year, the AARP took in $773 million in ads and royalties from private insurance companies. This doesn't sound like some sort of grass roots group of old people doing good for the retired person. "More than half of AARP's income is from advertising and royalty payments from big business. And the deals from companies in their publications and website aren't even competitive. You can find better deals yourself on almost anything. "If you've been paying your $16 a year AARP fee, you should think again. Ask for your membership money back and tip your garbage collector instead. I guarantee you'll get more personal benefit next year from it." http://www.thedailycrux.com/content/3523/AARP/eml Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. KHE
I heard AARP is losing members by the thousands due to their support for the sewage sandwich that is about to get shoved down our throats by the socialists in congress. Cadillac Jim
AARP has sure lost me. There is no way to contact them to protest what they are doing by supporting H.R. 3962 on their web site; they are in the shields-up mode. I read in a blog (but did not confirm) that AARP is the "co-op" written into H.R. 3962 to administer the replacement for Medicare, the coverage for the over-65 demographic. They don't need us anymore. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. BodybyFisher
Slightly off topic but it gets worse, can you imagine GOVERNMENT bailing out this BIAS media? We all know that GOV will expect even more in return than they have gotten to date if that is at all possible. I fully believe that if we had an objective press, we would be a half step better right now and we would have McCain http://hotair.com/archives/2009/12/03/gove...out-newspapers/ Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
WarrenJ
A market restores itself by weeding out the under performers to make room for new blood. Quite aside from the obvious ethical conflicts, bailouts must at some point come to an end. Unless, that is, you wish to see the end of capitalism. Hmnn . . . Regards, Warren P.S. McCain was woefully outmatched and out maneuvered. Just a poor candidate and organization overall. There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. BodybyFisher
I dont think that McCain took the Obama campaign seriously, I dont think he thought they could win. He wouldnt have been much better, he is what the democratic party used to be 15 years ago. Its shocking that he was a POW, you would think he would shun Kumbya alliances Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

BodybyFisher
Do what, win an election? As much as I think Palin echo's middle america conservative views, I think she is a lightning rod who needs to be involved but not a candidate. Cadillac Jim
It isn't Palin per se. Whenever a leader emerges that threatens the status quo, the entrenched interests sometimes respond with massive attacks, most often a barrage of frivolous ethics complaints or lawsuits, to knock off the figure before they are established. Other recent examples include Newt Gingrich and Tom DeLay. It isn't over; I read recently that the AP put eleven (!!!) reporters full-time researching her new book for inaccuracies; they haven't ever done that with celebrity or politicians' books before. So far, no stories, though. She has no baggage; it is all smoke. Why is Sarah Palin seen as a threat? Well, she knocked off the Republican establishment in Alaska, for one thing. She owes nothing to anybody, for another, and showed it by bringing Big Oil into line as Governor to prove it. She was Governor of Alaska with astronomical approval rates, for the clincher. And, at the time of the election, she had more applicable experience than Obama. And, at the time of the election, she had more applicable experience than Obama. I thought it was fascinating to note the MSM described Governor Palin as "inexperienced." Obama, OTOH, spent all of 45 days in the U.S. Senate when he wasn't campaigning for the presidential office. He was "experienced," it seems. Go figure. Not to hurt your feelings, but Newt Gingrich, like OBAMA!, is an "idea" man, not a "doer." Lottsa talk, little action. He did, however, have one brief flash of brilliance. Your AP report is correct. Shame! Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion.
