winterset
WOW. at only 85mph - and I know how fast Texans drive, that's equal to a total of approximately 61 days of driving time - good thing it's a comfortable car.

I love the way it just eases down the highway... It is really comfortable for me to drive. I couldn't go much faster... LOL Traffic was really heavy yesterday... so I was just cruising along with the traffic flow and not even trying to get in a hurry. Remember, it was Sunday after Thanksgiving, and I was on I-45 between Houston and Dallas...
Bruce Nunnally
Just got to 36k or so miles on the STS-V, so I've had it for 1/2 its mileage. Should be set for a few more years at 15k a year or so. Course, Jim puts that on per trip... You can honestly say, HIGHWAY MILES and only driven to Church HOUSTON on Sundays! Itr was probably the camera angle that made it look like it was more than 85... Yep... It was REALLY BAD traffic on I-45 yesterday at 4pm in the afternoon... I should have left a few hours earlier... You're right... probably at least half of the miles have been on the highway... Here is a pic from a while back...using a different camera angle...it looks correct..) . .

Texas Jim
Hmm, what a difference 3500 rpm makes vs 2800 rpm! If you were talking about the fuel economy....I was still accelerating and figured I should probably put the camera down and put both hands on the wheel... BodybyFisher
Actually, I was talking about the speed 85 vs 107 with only a 700 rpm increase in engine speed Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
Texas Jim
Actually, I was talking about the speed 85 vs 107 with only a 700 rpm increase in engine speed It's pretty long legged in high gear... that's what makes it so easy to just cruise along at around 100 all day long and still get decent fuel mileage... It's just starting to run good at 3500 RPM...

airmike
You know I gotta keep an eye D-3, I have that stage 1.5 setup. I check out any xlr that has upgrades, actually cts too. I hope to have one in a year of so. I almost love the blacked out car, but I can't go for the black wheels. I must be old or something, the only time I have seen black wheels I sorta liked was on a jeep. I love blacked out sinister looking ( but with shiny wheels) cars but I don't want to drive one. I need to see out too much. I was gonna tint my trans am dark before I sold it but sold it to my daughter so didn't. I'm sure rooting for you to win Jim!!! I bet I could talk Mike into a road trip in it to Texas, it still has a back seat doesn't it?
