BodybyFisher
Jessie Lang or the 2011 CTS-V Coupe?, watch video and vote. Lets REALLY see how good the CTS-V Coupe is! And don't ask why I did not give the option of, Duh, All of the Above, the CTS-V and Jessie Lang. That gents would be under the catagory of no brainer! I wanted to make this choice difficult! Texas Jim
I chose the "V coupe because... She would probably cost a lot more to "MAINTAIN" than the "V" coupe would... :)
Cadillac Jim
When you compare a well-built dream car to a new girlfriend and she makes you decide between the car and her, you do need to ask yourself some questions: Will the car ever ask you to give up a girlfriend? Will your car ever borrow your girlfriend and wreck her? How much is the initial cost, the maintenance cost, and the life-cycle cost? Which is going to last longer? Think about parking or storing the car for a long trip for business, vacation, or pleasure, then think about how the girlfriend will react to such an extended hiatus in your local affairs. If you have a change of plans or circumstances, can you sell the girlfriend and get a cheaper one? You may well have the car in five or ten years; it's your choice. How about the girlfriend? Which looks better - now? In two years? In five years? In ten years? A wife is another thing altogether, and a long-term girlfriend is often a committed partner, so please consider my remarks appropriate to a new acquaintance as a prospective girl/boyfriend but not to a committed partner. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. Cadillac Jim
Ok I will vote Jesse since I have an xlr-v already. Wait a minute I already have a Jesse too, (my girlfriend is reading over my shoulder) Guess I would have to have a test drive with both to decide ~!!! Congratulations on your multiple good fortune. For most women, you don't have to decide. The question as posed implied that you are single and have a new, self-described high-maintenance potential or new girlfriend, for whom the knockout spokeswoman Jesse in the video is presented as a surrogate, and you must choose between them. Myself, I never had the pleasure of dating a self-described high-maintenance woman due to my social instincts, although I have been approached by one or two - usually in inappropriate circumstances - in my time. The whole proposition is a hypothetical humor scenario. There is some danger in the stereotype raising a hackle or two - but, I say, beware of the woman insulted by this little joke. BodybyFisher
which will be gone sooner? GF who finds someone else with more money/better looks? Have you considered that you have your GF because of your good taste in automobiles, XLR-V?. If you lived closer, I'd want to be your best friend with your V... BodybyFisher
By the way, a woman who is ONLY interested in your money or good looks is dangerous, those attributes can be fleeting. airmike
I sure hope you all took my post as the humor it was meant!!! I am attached and not about to vote. My girlfriend never reads these (that was an attempt at humor) but thats immaterial, and when we got together I was driving a 91 lebaron convertible that had a bad tranny. I even offered to sell it to a guy at the pool hall for $100. That was the only car she knew about for 6 months. She has been here 4 years longer than the xlr. She thought I was a bum. Anyway I thought the whole idea of this thread was fantastic. Lets see some more votes and reasoning.

Safari2000
I would want a contract with Jesse to make sure that her performance package keeps on working after the test drive. I picked the car because that kind of contract can get messy and difficult to hold up in court. With the CTS-V you can get just about any JESSE. jessilang
I think I might write Jessie an email to see if should would like to defend herself against the V, as she is losing 6 to 1, Hey Mike, Thanks for the invite -- this discussion made me laugh and I'm happy to be a part of it. I totally understand why people are favoring the CTS-V; who could compete with 556 horsepower? ;-) Also, I understand some of the remarks regarding high-maintenance women, but I'm not one of them. I'm down-to-earth and uncommonly cool. ;-) So don't assume the worst about us ladies, fellas; you're in the company of some real gems. :-) Jessi
