I got an Eldo Commemerative

27,843 miles at delivery, not a spot or nick or anything on her. It looks like they only went to church in it. It was bought at the same dealer I got it from, and the people lived a few miles away. They printed out the complete service record. It went to the dealer every few thousand miles, and has had a transmission fluid change and coolant change, in addition to oil changes. It had one warranty service to reprogram the brain for lost signal.

He sounds amazing - the rumbling exhaust at idle and low throttle is sexy and invigorating, and, when my foot goes to the floor, that is quickly replaced by the lovely Northstar wind-up and the usual back-to-the-seat kick in the pants.

I paid 15.5K, which, arguably is too much, but, this car is PERFECT, and, I was prepared to buy one anywhere and drive it here to Hollywood, which would have cost some dough, so, in the long run, I'm not too unhappy about the price.

Congrats! I saw one of these Eldos. They look very special. The good news is that the dealer changed coolant. They usually do not do that.

Hey Congratulations that is a special car, very special and paying a little more for such a special car like that is justified.. As I mentioned before I had seen one of these in person and it was cool. I might be mistaken, or the salesman might be exaggerating but I think the exhaust system is a little upgraded in that edition, does it seem so?

Good Luck with it, its a beauty

The '98 got stolen. The idiots decided to sell the radio. Instead of pulling out the plugs on the back of the radio, they cut the wire loom that goes to the radio, which, in the insurance company's opinion, made the car a total.

This one is almost new - the 98 had 90k miles or so and needed struts etcetera - so I'm in much better shape now.

And yes, Mike, the exhaust is different - it is retuned to a '53 Eldo sound - it burbles at idle and has a much more deep-throated rumble at low throttle.

Why would someone sell such a car?! To buy a Corolla??

He bought a CTS - without the supercharger. Go figure.

I believe there were fewer than 600 made in that color. Under 28K? It's not even broken-in yet! A nice car like that with a good maintenance history for $15K? I'd have jumped on it too. Which version? 325hp or 300hp? More pics! Interiors.....
