AUSTINCTS1
The Service Adviser just convinced me to allow them to perform a fuel injection maintenance service. $160 big ones. CTS has about 23k milies, took it in for oil change and rotate and balance. Fuel injections service, Yes or No. Thanks in advance.
BodybyFisher
If its not running badly its not necessary. Use Tier 1 gas and you will be fine. This is a revenue generator for them, at that mileage you DEFINATELY don't need it, next they will hit you up for a power steering fluid flush, don't do that either. Don't let them flush the tranny either Or change the air in the tires from winter to summer If you are uncomfortable saying NO, just pull out the owners manual maintenance schedule and ask him to show you where that service is Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
Texas Jim
+1 to what BBF said. I believe it is just another way for them to make extra money to pad their bottom line. Not trying to be hard on you, but,..ask your self this.... "If it is running just fine, why do I need something dubious, like fuel injector service, done to it?" Do like I do...stand in front of the mirror before going to the dealer and practice saying... "no thank you...maybe next time"

AUSTINCTS1
Great advice, especially the seasonal changing of air in the tires (I like that). This is the major dealership in Austin, so hopefully they didn't screw up anything, and maybe I'll notice a pinch of improved performance. I'm driving a loaner 2009 cts, and it has some "get up and go". Thanks again.

Of course you realize I was having some fun with the summer air.. AUSTINCTS1
Yea, I know you guys are having a little fun. Nothing wrong with that. You guys made me laugh, and that's good considering my wallet is hurting. The changing air in the tire had me laughing on the floor. My car is ready, so have a great evening. Texas Jim
23 kmiles and they never changed the cabin air filter? Bad dealer! While getting an oil change, I had my cabin air filter changed ... but not till 40,000 miles. It was pretty dirty at that point. About 25 bucks ..if I remember right. Next time I will change it myself. It is easy to do.

AUSTINCTS1
Update: The dealer replaced the handle on my glove compartment, still under warranty. As far as the fuel induction service, my car is running better than ever. Thanks for your feedback.

Jim, I believe so, but please call your local dealer. I am sure they have similar GM product which handles all GM made handles.
