Can't Sell my 1992 Seville

I have had my 92 Seville out in my front yard for about 3 months now and have gotten 2 calls and no return customer. I guess the gas prices have a lot to do with it. My neighbor has a 1995 Nissan Sentra that is butt ugly and it sold. Crazy. I am asking $2,200 for it...think it is too much?? It has 156,000 miles and a couple of rust spots on the bottom. That is it.

TIRE CHANGER

IF you have not figured it out yet there are a couple of ways to get the bead to seal

1 -is to get a rope or one of those ratchet straps and install it around the center of the tire and tighten it good that should do it IF not get a can of starting fluid pray the inside of the tire with it then hook the air to the valve Then toss a match on the bead and it should pop up and seal

I know its not the safest thing but i have done it on many types of tires and its never failed yet just be carefull

Put it on ebay with a $1000 reserve and just get whatever you can and be done with it. The cost of maintaining insurance cuts into the bottom line so it doesn't pay to keep it unless it's still being used.

If you have a local craig's list that can be helpful. A local autotrader type magazine that takes inexpensive ads can be worth it if it brings over customers.

Also, parking the car with a forsale sign in a high traffic location that allows or tolerates car sales can get more eyes on it.

Back before the Internet and the roadside distributed used-car lot, people put ads in the paper to sell cars. Does that work anymore?

Its gets to the point also were people are not interested in cars that are perceived to guzzle gas, have high mileage and that are old. I sent my 91 with 125K on it to the scrap yard.

I used a newspaper ad to sell my old Park Avenue last summer.

I'm going to be trying to sell my wife's '98 Explorer soon. Now I see what I'll be up against - it's the AWD 5.0 V-8. We were going to drive it until the wheels fall off, however she wants a luxury car now so...

We were looking at a used CTS but really don't want to spend 30 large for wheels. And I don't want to take care of another FWD Northstar...so it looks like it will be a mid-mileage '96-'97 Jaguar XJ6 (we'll NEVER drive Japanese). I've bought nice cars cheap for more than 20 years; always performed my own maintenence and repairs, thus cutting the cost of ownership to pennies on the dollar (gas and insurance).
