My 94 Eldo (235000 miles) is running out of time. Bought another ebay vehicle, 98 Eldo. Florida this time.

Getting paper work done. Will keep you posted if anyone interested. The site sure has evolved. Congratulations Bruce.

The journey begins. (continues)

pics are always great. Congrats on the Eldorado, I really like those.

WARNING: I'm a total car newbie, don't be surprised if I ask a stupid question! Just trying to learn.

Cheers!

235000 miles, cant go wrong with that. What is going on it?

Must see pics of the new Eldo.

I had one and I loved it, sleek, fast, and sexy.

I have a Deville, and a seville, would love to add an eldo back to my collection

I would check the 98 Eldo for engine cradle rust and check the fuel lines from front to back because a Florida car may be susceptible to more rusting than usual, especially if it was driven next to the ocean/gulf. I bought a 94 Eldo and I found this out the hard way when I had to replace the brake line from the firewall back running down the left side.

Hard to do from Illinois. This is a roll of the dice, again, but I feel comfortable with the information I have. I did the same with my 94 Eldo (Dalllas/Ft Worth in '04') and was(am) very happy with the result. Some friends are picking it up, St Petersburg to Ft Meyers and back) and will store it until we (wife and I) can fly down for a visit. Work related. Might be two months. I won't have to rent a car or buy a plane ticket back. Wife doesn't know either. So... bottom line, this is already a done deal and the only hands on information I will have about the Eldo will be from the impression my two retired friends get when they pick it up and drive it back to St Petersbug.

My daughter surprised me the other day and took a History of Cadillac book out of the library and the 1998 Seville was awarded the Automotive Interior of the Year Award, based on its styling, safety features and innovative use of materials by Inside Automotive International Magazine. I am not sure how much that applies to the Eldo but I am sure that in some measure it does.

Good luck with the new car

I believe the eldo interior stayed the same as the 96-97 seville. the introduction of thr 98 was very different than the previous years
