Poobah
I've noticed that a number of our regulars have changed their screen names lately. Some Some change their avatar and/or personal information and some don't. Some start their posting count all over and some continue the old count. In most cases, it's easy enough to keep track of who is who. I'm just curious, what prompts this? Happiness is owning a Cadillac with no codes. BodybyFisher
Troll attacks, disrespect, unappreciative attitudes, familiarity and the need for me to make a change. Regis
For me it was merely a business decision. I needed to "free up" my other name because it's tied to current/future projects. Nothing personal. But I left a little remnant of my past so the "old" members would know who I was. Bruce Nunnally
For me, it was the deep-seated satisfaction of knowing that no matter which name I used, no wait -- I still have the same one, so never-mind. BodybyFisher
Bruce, allow me to complete that thought, some of us are more gentlemanly and intelligent and keep themselves and their name ABOVE the frey! Regis
I dunno Bruce. I think your name could use a little sprucing up too. Perhaps Sir Bruce or Casa de Nunnally ? Now that I think about it this is my 3rd name change. On the old board I was "kg", then when I returned from my hiatus and signed up here it was "kger2" (no idea why I didn't use kg... must of been a brain fart). I kind of like Regis. Aside from being my gaming name it's much more identifiable, has color, and a bit more dynamic in character....at least from a name stand point if not the person behind it. "kger2", the name is a bit too impersonal and obscure. Names ending with numbers tend to be that way. And it invokes the idea that I'm some sort of secondary copy of kger or even kger1. Ugh!.... the idea that I might simply be one of many (kger3, kger4, etc.) is Borgish and just not me. LOL And that is why Poobah... Ranger
I changed mine a couple of years ago after a troll attack when I realized no one was using their full name so I picked a screen name.
