Marika
Broom stick! If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans. Marika
Image is not clear, it's fuzzy so it's hard to tell but I'v noticed that the plug lead is not missing, just laying down next to another lead. There was no factory installed Northstar in any vehicles (never mind Cadillacs) prior to the (late) 1993 Allante model! Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE ! Cadillac Jim
What the heck is that thing on the throttle body? It certainly isn't an intake hose. And, yes, the broomstick. There's nothing wrong with a Northstar in a 1990 Eldorado, once you get the conversion kinks worked out. Like an aftermarket ECM. If you think *that's* weird, look at this: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/mosler-twinstar-eldorado-specialty-file It's the Mosler TwinStar Eldorado! There was no factory installed Northstar in any vehicles (never mind Cadillacs) prior to the (late) 1993 Allante model! Bingo! My friend who works on Cadillacs installed a 97 Northstar, IPC and PCM into this 90 Eldorado. It runs pretty good He kept the 90 Eldo exhaust system and recently found out that the engine only reached 80% of maximum output, so he is in the process of installing an exhaust to free up the Northstar Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

The 1993 Allante, Seville STS, Eldorado Touring Coupe, and Eldorado Sport Coupe had Northstar Engines. Cadillac Jim
I think that the 1993 Allante came out early, and offered a 295 hp VIN 9 engine. If memory serves, it was the pace car at Indianapolis in 1992. That was my dream car for years but I never could afford one, and I was unhappy that the discontinued the Allante right after it started to really be an attractive car to me. After I did get the 1997 ETC I lost interest in the older car. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. MAC
Where is the plastic hose from the air filter leading to the air intake/manifold?
MAC
Why are the plug wire routed opposite of what they should be. I don't see any of the normal routing on the left side or the platic wire protector, and the wires are routed under the cover.
BodybyFisher
Ill have another look at it at some point and snap a few more photos. I cant see the details in the photo too well.
