I have been on this tirade for years, Ill bet we can do a search of the archives where we have discussed this before. It is comforting that we have not mellowed from our stance, nor have many from "fly over country" that the MSM craps on, nor have those who cling to guns and religion or anyone who is proud of the US, our accomplishments and our future. You said the Pledge of Allegiance in school... People said MERRY CHRISTMAS to each other... not this stupid crappy HAPPY HOLIDAYS junk like they do now... They don't want to "OFFEND" anyone... You could go to your local department store and buy a rifle without spending 30 minutes filling out GUBMINT PAPERWORK... You could easily go to an airport and buy a ticket.... using cash, check or credit card... and then get on a plane and go anywhere in the states you wanted to go. Now you have to use credit card only... (more or less)...and you have to be at the airport "HOURS" before your flight... then be subjected to all the totally asinine and totally useless searches and security BS... before you can even THINK OF getting on the plane. I used to fly a good bit... Now... I refuse to fly... ANYWHERE... I am not going to subject my Darling Wife to all of that...I just ain't a gonna do it... If I can't get there in my Cadillac... then I didn't need to go there anyway... Needless to say, since then I am a lifelong Verizon FIOS fan, they could give cablevision away free with all the premium channels and I would refuse. Every once in a while, a Cablevision sales rep knocks on the door and asks what they would have to do to get us to change from Verizon FIOS, Jim, this is a respectible forum, I can't say here, but you can imagine that 10 years later, I STILL lose my mind I am like, WHHAAATTTT?, are you KIDDING?, they walk away about 20 minutes later with a tick and a headache.... I used to go to a mexican restaurant here and couldn't understand what they were saying. I continually said they need to learn English if they are going to work here, and when I go to mexico to live I will learn spanish. At least they were in a mexican restaurant!
