Yes, See: http://www.caddyinfo.com/readingcodes.html

Or see the 'how to' section on the home page.

ARE THESE THE SAME CODES THAT WILL CAUSE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT?

Depending on WHAT CODE it is... yes it can turn on the check engine light.

Be sure to WRITE DOWN all the different codes as you scroll thru them.

Oh... and please turn off the ALL CAPS... please.

The PCM sets codes for engine emissions/performance those are "P" codes. The system runs a miriad of tests, and sets codes for systems that fail. The transmission sets P codes also. P codes set the Check Engine Light, Service Engine and will display messages like Service Idle Control system, etc.

The system will also set codes for the suspension, HVAC, body, lighting and network

When you retrieve codes if one is set for ANY system, it will be reported to you.

The gas cap on ANY OBD 2 vehicle (cars built since 96) these days will set a code for a defective, missing or loose gas cap. The fuel systems are sealed to stop vapors from entering the atmosphere, the vapors are routed to the combustion system through the EVAP system.

Please do me a favor, stop typing in CAPS. In internet circles CAP implies YELLING.. Besides that, its hard to read. I use CAPS for emphasis only. Thanks

Yes it will. That is part of the emissions system.

i did the diagnostic and the only one that concerned me was a po 0741 current, code. ive checked the forums and most people say its something that can be lived with if the transmission is shifting properly, which it seems to be. im gonna check the fluid level later as it can cause this code from what i read.
