Poobah
This morning I bought the car I'd been negotiating on for the last 3 or 4 days. It's silver 2000 Deville with a beige interior. It has a few minor cosmetic issues (what used car doesn't) and its a little dirty but it'll clean up nice. I got it for $750 less than the private party Blue Book price, so I'm happy with the deal. Thanks to all of you who posted to my "Cracked Block?" and "2000 Deville" threads. Your advice was most helpful. The Eldo was getting to the point where it needed some , mostly cosmetic, work. I could probably have kept it going for a while longer but, frankly, I have more important things to devote my time and energy to these days. I need to find a new home for the Eldo (see "1994 Eldorado" in the for sale section of this forum). If somebody wants to take on an Eldo project, I won't let money stand in the way. Meanwhile, I'm a happy camper. I'll post some pictures as soon as I can take some. For now, I'm going to go out and cruise around in my new ride. Happiness is owning a Cadillac with no codes. ted tcb
Great choice. My stepdad buys basic Deville's every 3 years, and puts about 170klm's on them. The only service he ever books are oil changes, and break rotors/pads. No gremlins, very reliable motor and tranny. Seems like you're at that 5 year coolant change point.
