mikeal1892
you've done very well with it thats for sure ! i've looked and looked for the wood steering wheel for mine . but i have thought even with a base model i could at least get the woodsteering wheel for it there easy to ride or atleast thats what it seems. now, did you ad the bose ? thats the only thing that really keeps me in my car...lol michael and you painted up that cheap ugly grey at the bottom thats the thing i hate the most about the regular deville ! Ranger
Very nice Logan. Your project had me thinking about getting a DHS and putting in buckets and console, but decided it might be more than I really wanted to get involved in so I went with the SLS. Maybe next time. At least I know where to go for advice.
Logan
Very nice Logan. Your project had me thinking about getting a DHS and putting in buckets and console, but decided it might be more than I really wanted to get involved in so I went with the SLS. Maybe next time. At least I know where to go for advice. All the cars are using buckets. There is a center arm rest 'console' that is removed....it is not part of the seat. In other words....they are not a 60/40 seat. So installing the full floor shifter/ console....you dont have to change the seats at all. chazglenn3
Is the instrument cluster swap a "plag and play" affair? The only thing keeping me from looking at base DeVille's is the digital dash...I hate it! Charles Charles
Northstar
Yes it is plug and start playing with your cool new dash.
Logan
Yes it is plug and start playing with your cool new dash. Yes, the cluster is plug and play. It will work. At the time of the purchase.....that issue was not so clear. GM has a bulletin about swapping modules like clusters and radios. Many will not work due to VIN programming etc. In this case, the cluster fired right up....now we know.... I did have to cut the plastics above the cluster....for the floating display....U can see the cut in the cluster trim upper plastics.. WarrenJ
Purdy! There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
mikeal1892
i agree with that the dash from my sls i like so much better than the base model deville. ive had 4 deville and 1 seville and i would much rather have the deville. michael

The Deville is a bit bigger in the back seat, and I also like the styling...really hated the digital display though. I also have noticed here in the Pacific NW that Deville's are cheaper than Seville's. It's good to know the cluster is an easy swap.
