PAUL T
I went out about 5:00p.m. and decided to start my 92 Deville because she had not been started in about 3 weeks. I was going to let the battery get recharged and move her around a bit. Well I decided while she was running to go and put a tarp over my fifth wheel camper. After doing all of that, my wife and kids decided they wanted something to eat, so I went inside and took care of that. Later on that evening I complained to my wife that I could not find my Caddy keys, she did not know where to look. Anyhow I went out the next morning, about 9:30a.m., to feed the dogs, cat, rabbits, and horses and looked toward the Deville and suddenly realized where my Caddy keys were. IN THE DEVILLE STILL RUNNING!! I told my wife that I found my keys. She reminded me that I am not very good at multitasking. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!! I remember BBOB said not to start the car to charge the battery because the car never gets hot enough to evaporate the moisture in the engine or something to that effect. Well, I think mine got hot enough idling for 16+/- HOURS!!

PAUL T
Yep she got warmed up all right...I'll be your average miles per gallon fell off quite a bit however If some places if you did that, the car would have been gone in the morning The bad part is that my wife fed the animals that night and she heard it running but thought it was the neighbors working on their house using a generator. She was with in 30 feet of the car but it was dark. Yes I am glad I live where I live. I hardly ever lock anything. The only action we had in my area was my neighbor taking a chain saw and cutting a wood fence my other neighbor erected as a marker of a right-of-way. The problem was the fence was in the first neighbors front yard, it is an ongoing dispute. It is like a soap opera.

Marika
I just got this from GM in an email..... Nice Cadillac did a beautiful job on the '06 Escalade and Deville. I would buy the '06 Deville if I had the money that's how nice I think it looks. Now if they could only get their act together on the CTS and the STS. In my opinion, the CTS looks too tall and narrow and the STS is not long enough at the front. Lengthen the STS a bit especially from the front and make the CTS a bit wider and shorter and those two cars will probably be winners as well. If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans.
