Bruce Nunnally
1964 Cadillac Sedan DeVille I’ve posted her before, but I thought I’d share some more detailed photos from the restoration process. She was in a barn in Texas for over 20 years before the previous owner pulled her out (to this day she has under 51,000 ORIGINAL miles). Thankfully I saved her from his plans to chop her into a coupe. When I was cleaning out the glovebox I found a note from the original owner saying “Take care of my - this car. Her name is Maud - a good car.” Read more: https://www.carthrottle.com/post/nzxjbye/ Bruce 2016 Cadillac ATS-V gray/black Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube
Cadillac Jim
The A/C isn't too hard to work with in that year range. Everything is easily accessible except the evaporator, which is, of course, under the dashboard, but even that is more accessible than those in later years. Parts shouldn't be a problem because the things that you might need (compressor, dryer-accumulator, condenser, expansion valve) are all generic. The only real problem is getting Freon R-12. Since he has deviated from the original build with the paint color and the upholstery, converting to R-134a is an option, in which case a kit will solve the whole problem. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. BodybyFisher
I loved my parents 64 caddy, it has beautiful lines and the last of the fins. That is a beauty. If I am not mistaken there were 2 transmissions used that year, a Hydromatic with Reverse ® all the way right on the shift indicator and the Turbo Hydromatic with Reverse ® second on the indicator.
