Bruce Nunnally
GM Inside News has a nice summary of reports and theories: http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f70/does-corvette-z06-have-engine-failure-problem-217745/ Imagine that the Corvette of your dreams has finally arrived – one that makes no excuses for its performance, looks and, yes, interior quality. And then it dies on the way back from the dealership. Cadillac Jim
Read the whole blog post. Z06 engine failure rate is running 0.15%. Average for new cars in general is 0.29%. Audi has recently posed an in-warranty engine replacement rate of 3.71%, which is the worst figure found. Corvette LT4 Problems? No, it's Internet hysteria. GM ILS and QA support noted that some of these in early builds were from oil contamination and took corrective measures, so the 0.15% is probably high if you are buying one today. cdgrinci 1 Quote -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. cdgrinci
Thanks Jim, that was what my thoughts were (as well), though I didn't have the hard data (that you provided). LT4, in my book, equals awesome. Eldoradoman2001 1 Quote Chuck '19 CT6, '04 Bravada........but still lusting for that '69 Z-
