Bruce Nunnally
Fun facts I would have added: Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac may have come from the Cadillac region of France, but was something of an opportunist. He founded Detroit, and served as Governor of Louisiana, true. Though the Cadillac crest is based on a family crest, it may not really have been his name or crest, he just claimed it in the new world. Auto-Union was kind of the GM of Germany -- by buying up multiple brands they made one conglomerate car brand. Very big in racing back in the day. The 4 root Auto-Union companies: Horch, Audi, DKW, and Wanderer, are still reflected in the Audi 4-ring symbol as part of the VW group today. Porsche is also named after the family of the organizer, so not just US companies did that. Mercedes was taken up as a car name after the daughter of one of their best sales agents by Daimler.
