Welcome To Caddyinfo.

I feel your pain. convertibles can be quite the headache from repair, to reassembly, to adjustment. I know someone here will definately be able to shed some light your way.

If you dont get any bites you could always post it in the general section.

If you get it back together it would be very nice to share some pictures of another fine Cadillac.

Best of luck to you

Your photos should be of the frame under the top with the top up, that shows where spars bolt to joints with other spars. A trip to a recycling yard with a cell phone camera may be needed.

Since convertible tops that are parked outside and driven daily need to be replaced every two to four years, the people that sold you the replacement top should have some data on your car and may be able to provide you with installation instructions that have the information you need.

I believe that the Eldorado Convertibles from 1971 through 1976 used the same convertible top, or at least the design, so a picture of any one of them would likely be what you need. They sold about 6800 of them every year so there should be plenty of people out there that have one.
