rivet
The water pump drive belt part number for a 1999 Northstar engine is not easy to determine aside from removing it and recovering the number. I would like to have it on hand before taking it off. Can someone help with this answer? Thanks in advance for any help. Any recommended quality belt that will work will be o.k. with me. Also I saw a post for a Rock Auto 5% discout number. Is that available to all members and do you know what it is? I have ordered from them in the past and got good service . KHE
Any dealer can look up the belt part no for you. You can also use www.gmpartsgiant.com to search and view the diagrams. waterzap
Rock auto will have the belts. I replaced mine a week ago. Think got one on sale for not much. Maybe $6. Gates or Dayco. With belts I usually just get a decent brand. Replace every few years. Water pump belt was a bit tricky, getting around the pump, but it's possible. Once you order a lot of stuff from Rock Auto, they just email a discount code now and again.
