adallak Posted November 17, 2010 Report Share Posted November 17, 2010 Disconnecting the battery is not the best way to shut down an engine if it cannot be done because of faulty ignition switch or ignition lock cylinder. If you have access to the EGR valve, simply depress the diaphragm quickly as far as you can and the engine will stall. rockfangd Posted November 17, 2010 Report Share Posted November 17, 2010 cutting the fuel supply is the best way i use to stall an engine, typically by removing the fuel pump relay, unplugging the oil pressure sending unit ,or discnnecting the pump harness, butthe by far best and easiest, a scantool with test capabilities, you can turn off the fuel pump GM FAN FOREVER Nice, clean, luxury= fine automobile Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
