Turning OFF engine if ignition switch is bad

Disconnecting the battery is not the best way to shut down an engine if it cannot be done because of faulty ignition switch or ignition lock cylinder.

If you have access to the EGR valve, simply depress the diaphragm quickly as far as you can and the engine will stall.

The saddest thing in life is wasted talent

cutting the fuel supply is the best way i use to stall an engine, typically by removing the fuel pump relay, unplugging the oil pressure sending unit ,or discnnecting the pump harness, butthe by far best and easiest, a scantool with test capabilities, you can turn off the fuel pump
