I have a thread on the front motor mount, not a bad job, you can do it, check www.rockauto.com and www.gmotors.com for prices on it

As far as the O2 sensor, you were NOT getting an O2 sensor code were you? How did they determine you needed an O2 sensor without a code? Your check engine light was OFF, no?

I hear you, I wish you would have told me about the check engine O2 code before you went. All in all however I guess $300 is not too bad for all of that work including parts, and I know you are beat from all of that work.

Ill bet its running great now. Relax and Enjoy

Are you in New York State?, my state inspection is nothing more than an emissions test in New York State, they really dug into your car

I've heard that there are states where your car will fail inspection if it has rust holes bigger than 1 inch in diameter. Some states are REALLY strict I guess. It's one of the things I like about living in New York. You can have no body on your car at all, so long as it has seatbelts and a windshield, you are good to go! Lol.

i took a ride today, and got a hot engine light,i let it cool down, and cheched the coolant,it was low on coolant,,i see no leaks, none in the oil,,,could this be because of new rad and heatercore,,maybe the rad and heatercore wasnt filled,it was low 1 gallon,,drove it home 5 miles and was fine

If the rad or header core was not filled you would have gotten a low coolant light, did you get a low coolant light?

Did you replace the tank?, I forget?

Check the purge line to see if it clogged up, now. Can you remove the "bolt with a hole in it"?

On the top of the coolant tank there is a hose, not the one attached to the cap's overflow, there is another hose, if you follow that hose it goes across the engine and connects near the throttle body.

That line allows AIR to get out of the cooling system.

The first thing to do is to TEST to see if that line is flowing coolant

First, with the engine COOL, gently pull that hose off of the cooant tank without breaking off the nipple, let it hang down

Then go and start the engine, let it idle

Then go and look at that hose, it should have a steady flow of coolant

Does it, yes or no?

yes it comes out as a steady flow,i just dont understand how water is missing,,there is no leaks and no water in the oil,do u think there was air in the system?and thats why it was taking more coolant,,i think it took aleast 3 gallons total so far

You need to look closely, its going someplace, that is too much coolant to lose and its not due to air.

You need to pressurize that cooling system, and find out what is going on

Like Mike said, if there is coolant missing, it does have a leak somewhere. Consider the radiator side tanks. Common leak points and the front side is obscured by the condenser. Are you running Dex? If so, dried Dex leaves a chalky white telltale residue.

Ranger, Steve just replaced the radiator, heater core and crossover seals.... this is a mystery at this point,

What is left? Coolant tank, cap, heater pipes? (the dreaded head gasket)
