JasonA
On Thursday, I had surgery to remove a pilonidal cyst/sinus. If you don't know what that is, you don't want to. If you do know what it is, or have had it before, you probably wish you didn't! Anyway, this is the second surgery I've had on it in 6 years, and I hope they got it all this time. Anyway, the recovery basically involves laying on your stomach or sides for a few weeks to let the area heal. I've been surfing the 'Net with the ol' laptop, and I've gotten particularly skilled at Microsoft Links 2001, and Bicycle Casino 2.0. I've also enjoyed watching and listening to my wife leave in the Cadillac, on the rare occasions that she does. Hey, anything is better than watching the Olympics 24/7, as historical of an event it is... My '97 came standard with an engine whistle, which sounds like maybe an accessory bearing or a belt problem, although everything's been fine for the 50,000 miles that I've owned it. It also sounds like a supercharger whistle, if you're in the right mind (or the wrong one...). Combine that with the slightly bubbly sound of the OE mufflers, and it sounds just like a supercharged Camaro rolling down the road. Lord, please get me outta here soon. I'm going mad! Bruce Nunnally
Glad the surgery went well. Hope you feel better sooner than expected. We still need a year to year chart for Devilles similar to the Seville year to year change summary if you get too bored. I suppose I should start one on the CTS's as well. JasonA
We still need a year to year chart for Devilles similar to the Seville year to year change summary if you get too bored. I suppose I should start one on the CTS's as well. I'd love to have one, and would gladly compile the information for this page, since I'm not at all as savvy on the Devilles as I am for the Sevilles. Whoever wants to participate, please PRIVATE MESSAGE me with certain things you can think of...like 1996: first year for NS engine standard. Etc, etc. Thanks...and great idear Bruce. JasonA
EDIT BTW what Oe mufflers do you have? The Original Equipment mufflers that came on a '97. 136,000 miles old. They're kind of "bubbly" sounding, just like many modern GM cars. I have a clip somewhere. I'll try to post it later on today.
