Seanmannino
When purchasing one of these used key fobs off eBay or any other site is it important that the GM number matches? For instance I have GM: 16196066 Canada: 218101375 Model/FCC ID: AB01602T #2 I found this on eBay GM: 16259819 CANADA: 218101375 FCC ID: ABO1602T #1 Would the fob that I found work or would I just be wasting money? davedog
difference in the GM number could be due to the fact that one is a '#1' remote and one is a '#2' remote just a guess. you will probably want to wait for the experts to chime in on this one. Logan
The part # is very important. We used to sell remotes 10 years ago. But we have forgotten... I think the 6066 one is for a Catera. The 9819 is in the ball park. You cannot use (2) #1 remotes for example. You need a #1 and #2. We cannot remember the part #. Just called a local Cadillac dealer and the part #'s that I was given are 16259819 and 16259829 now I didn't ask what Number fob corresponds to which but I would assume he gave me the part #'s in order so #1 and #2. So, if the 16196066 #2 is for a Caterra would that be the reason I am NOT able to keep this darn thing programmed and the fact that I cannot find any others for my year? Thanks! Thanks Guys~N~Gals! I searched e-bay for 2003 Deville fob's and found 2 for $30 shipped, took them to dealer and had them programmed free, no problems. You should be able to do same. Good Luck!
