I loved the vertical head lights. I had a chocolate brown 68 convertible with a beige interior, man I loved that car. Really, it's by far the better looking car. Ahh, that is an absolute statement I love the 67 and 68 eldos, I had an opportunity to buy one a few years ago. To me its preference, but to me the Eldo was more attractive than the Toronado, and I think the Toronado is outstanding, I loved the rolling speedometer and rear deck. joeb Posted August 15, 2009 Report Share Posted August 15, 2009 jay leno's toronado is pretty nice also. i assisted my dad and we put a 67 toronado drivetrain in the rear of a corvair greenbriar van. torsion bar suspension and stock dual inlet/exhaust muffler too. very cool project. and we have no pics of it.
