Those are in demand by people who have garage door openers Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

winterset
You said it has a green LED when you press it? - that's the 'outdated' one. that doesn't have the rolling codes found in today's garage openers. the ones in demand are the 'amber' LED's. It's why it was left in the car. I am surprised it's in a '99 though.

chazglenn3
It probably is amber...just appears green to him. The older non rolling code models were actually equipped with a red light, like the one in the linked eBay ad. Charles

The older non rolling code models were actually equipped with a red light, like the one in the linked eBay ad. My 1995 has the older style, I can program older garage door openers but not the newer one at my parent's house. It has the red LED lights.
