Climate Changed while Human emissions stayed the same

A study released this week by MIT researchers shows a surge in methane levels throughout the world's atmosphere. This is a contra-indication of a direct relation between industrial activity which is largely centered in the northern hemisphere and global warming as a whole.

One surprising feature of this recent growth is that it occurred almost simultaneously at all measurement locations across the globe. However, the majority of methane emissions are in the Northern Hemisphere, and it takes more than one year for gases to be mixed from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern Hemisphere. Hence, theoretical analysis of the measurements shows that if an increase in emissions is solely responsible, these emissions must have risen by a similar amount in both hemispheres at the same time.

Methane is produced by wetlands, rice paddies, cattle, and the gas and coal industries, and is destroyed by reaction with the hydroxyl free radical (OH), often referred to as the atmosphere's "cleanser."

It is too early to tell whether this increase represents a return to sustained methane growth, or the beginning of a relatively short-lived anomaly, according to Rigby and Prinn. Given that, pound for pound, methane is 25 times more powerful as a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide, the situation will require careful monitoring in the near future.

I think that this photo tells the whole story. As we know THIS will be a very cold winter, sun spot activity is non existant right now as a matter of fact, scientists were worried that the sun is so quiet. During peak sun spot activity, coronal mass ejections are thrown millions of miles into space from the sun. Anyone who doesn't think that a violent sun period does NOT affect our weather is ignorant.

Its interesting to note that when our poles were melting the poles on MARS were melting also. its NOT likely that OUR emissions affected MARS,

Unfortunately we have an incoming president that has mentioned GLOBAL WARMING in the last week, paying NO ATTENTION to the 31000 scientists who refute the global warming belief.

I am stunned that such credence is given to Gore's movie, who gets a Nobel Peace prize for it. I just don't understand these people, one lies and the other covers for them. Its controlling the masses. The media has way too much power to be agenda driven. Opinion should not be covered or reported as facts and it should be exposed as opinion and scorned.

An analysis needs to be done of our media, while I understand that it is suppose to be FREE, it is not suppose to be agenda driven. I believe if the media did its job Obama would not have even gotten nominated let alone elected. I am stunned every time I hear some mindless, shallow, uninformed drone rant on about Obama. You know, given the constant negative, lies, jaded, critical and slanted news the media and democrats have put forth over the last 8 years has anyone considered that the current state of the world was caused by it? I believe the press, democrats and environmentalists have destroyed this country and it has had an impact on the world economies. That they plan to institute cap and trade is shocking. They are trying to have Carbon Dioxide classified as a contaminant. We breath out carbon dioxide, what next?
