BodybyFisher
Use only AC Delco, they have been validated for your Northstar, using an aftermarket plug that has not been validated can create all kinds of problems. The AC Delco plug is the correct heat range and the thread have been treated to stop corrosion and binding in the head. Cadillac Jim
Be sure and read the directions for this job. My old technique of using silicone grease, theadlock, etc. would cause hair-pulling problems on a Northstar, which has all these things already on the spark plug. Please DO use a torque wrench to install the plugs. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. tjtjwdad
To all, I just went to GM Parts Direct to get the plugs and wires to do mine in the near future as I'm @ 89K. Unfortunately I came up empty for both. Can I plug in later years 03-08 models with FWD Northstars and use what pops up? Mine is a 2001. I'd hate to think I gotta' go to th dealer to get the GM parts. Thx Jim
