Your description is a little sparse. Can you post a photo?

You'll find people here anxious to help.

There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises

Your post keeps changing. It now appears you *DO* know what it is called.

Cadillac parts can be found at prices significantly below dealer cost at places like:

http://www.gmotors.com

http://www.rockauto.com

Good luck,

Warren

P.S. I've used both; gmotors would be my favorite. Others might argue.

no chance to buy used from salvage yard? Pretty much anything minus brakes/tires/alternator/etc come from the salvage yard...my friend's cat when out (1996 Chrysler Sebring conv.) and the mehanic advised against a used cat but I got one anyway from the bone yard for I think $20 bucks and no problems 8 months and counting...

I thought federal law prohibited the sale of used converters?

I think it is called an EGR TUBE.

Do you know where I can find one cheap?

Cadillac wants $50 + tax?

Try the places that Warren suggested they are usually a fraction of the dealer cost or as also suggested try a scrap yard. You are driving a Cadillac man, spring with the bucks!
