Ranger
Do a search for P0741. You may want to live with it as it is an expensive fix. The good news is you CAN live with it. BTW, that DTC should not cause the symptoms you describe.
BodybyFisher
The P0717 causes the symptoms you are describing, are you getting any other codes? 95SevilleSLS
I have had this code on my 02 seville STS for about 1 year now and I'm still driving it around. I seem to only get it when I drive up hill going about 60. I am also thinking it has something to do with my catalytic converter being plugged. Like it's lugging it so much that the torque converter goes in and out. -Dusty- - 02 Seville STS, white diamond - 93 Sixty Special, Tan with vinyl top - 79 Coupe DeVille, Tan with Tan top - 06 GMC Sierra Z71, Black - 92 Silverado C1500, black and grey - 83 Chevy K10 Silverado, Black and Grey

If your CAT was plugged, you'd have a loose of power at WOT and probably at highway speeds.

Cadillac Jim
He says it's running rough on takeoff. That could be something as simple as an old air cleaner element, or it could be a vacuum leak. We need to see the OBD II codes. Here's how to get them: http://www.caddyinfo.com/readingcodes.html -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. BodybyFisher
P1599 - Engine Stall or Near Stall Detected B1850 - Driver Lumbar Horiz Sensor Circuit Malfunction B1860 - Driver Lumbar Vert Sensor Circuit Malfunction I can't find amp 1060h Can you take a second look at the codes and check for amp 1060h again? Explain this statement kinda running rough in a little more detail. In Neutral, rev the engine and see if it feels rough. It does not sound like transmission to me, it sounds like ignition, possibly plugs or ignition wires. Idle your engine in the pitch dark and see if you see any arching around the ignition wires and listen for high voltage discharge (listening can be done in the daylight). You might just be in need of plugs and ignition wires. With your foot on the brake and the car in DRIVE and idling, do you feel a rough idle?, a miss, or a lope? Are you getting black smoke out of your exhaust? Hard starting? Pull the vacuum hose off of your Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR) and check for the presence of fuel, there should be none, the FPR is attached to the fuel rail, on the driver side of the car toward the firewall, if you do a search you will find more info on it. Provide us more details if you can. By the way when you retrieved the codes you posted above, did P0741 come up again? Did you actually see the P0741 code?
