jschunke
My dad is close to getting an 05 v6 AWD SRX with only 5,500 mi from the dealer. Under the hood, on the driver's side fender is hand written, "crush zone". The car also pulls to the right. Other than that it's in great shape. Does this seem suspicious? Anything else I should inspect? He'll be getting the extended warrantee. Thanks.
Bruce Nunnally
Was the SRX originally sold by the dealer, or did they buy it at auction, or take it in trade? If they serviced it they should also be able to show you any service or repairs it has had. If the SRX was previously wrecked, the dealer should have repaired it completely; the fact that it pulls to one side is a bad sign of proper repair. There have been reports of the SRX not having its alignment done right, talk with them about it and it could be just the alignment is off. Cadillac Jim
The other guy's advice is excellent. I would add this: As with any used car, get the VIN and run a CarFAX. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
