Nikolai
What's the causes for this? I talked with my mechanic friend, he suggested new crank sensors. I bought them, but haven't installed them yet. Any other things I should look at?
Cadillac Jim
Vacuum leaks or broken or split vacuum hoses, loose or missing EGR valve, loose or missing oilfiller cap or dipstick, loose intake manifold gasket are all first candidates for one bank lean and the other not. Dirty injectors (a tank of 93 octane and a 100-mile trip on the freeway may cure this), and dirty air cleaner element are possibilities. Ranger
Crank sensors? For a lean condition? Look for a vacuum leak.
Nikolai
Yeah, it throws the crank sensor code too.
Ranger
Oh, you didn't say that. Replace the CKP sensors for sure. Then look for a vacuum leak.
adallak
Yeah, it throws the crank sensor code too. The owners of 2000-2003 Caddies should keep a couple of crank sensors in glove box. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent
WarrenJ
The owners of 2000-2003 Caddies should keep a couple of crank sensors in glove box. By the time I get my 2002 Eldorado, I expect they'll have been replaced. Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
