Regis
The drivers side seat belt buckle spring broke a few weeks ago. No big deal, I thought, because the belt would still snap in and with a minimal effort and finagling the button I could unhook it. Welllllll just last week the belt came undone twice all by itself while in traffic....eek! The dealer wanted $140-160 but it had to be special ordered. Brasington wanted around $115. GMpartsdirect listed around $80+shipping and tax (but uncertain of the accurracy of their site on the part itself). The large used outfit in California only had a mauve colored one. Nobody locally had one (used). And once again Body BY Fisher hooked me up with his buddy Scott( nooo not his alter ego) and saved the day. Called Scott on Tuesday and had the correct part, right color, and at my door step on Thursday. Grand total after tax and shipping.....$43. Now I can relax in traffic again. Regis
By the way, your new verizon site SCREAMS! WOW! Yeah it cruises right along. Everything is on fiber optics. Yesterdays test yielded 9.3mbps (download) from upstate to downstate. And upload is 1.7-1.8 mbps....that's more than twice the real speed of Road Runner's download. Love it! Larry, don't you also need the steering column for the conversion since the shifter moves from the steering column to the console? Ranger
I am thinking that the shifter just disconnects and is removable. Shift cable would have to be rerouted. If I have to R & R the column, then thats a deal breaker.

JimD
Logan cleared the trail for sure. A search for "Fake DTS" will pull up various stages of the conversion and parts acquisition.
