I have found through research that a lot of these so called "High end" watches sold through no name dealers have the serial number ground off. If you buying new, but from a regestered dealer for that paticular brand of watch. If buying used, ask for original reciept and make sure the serial number is still there. A lot of jewelers wil not service high end watches with out serial numbers. Buyer beware.
