ride control

The rear is to high. The car bounce when i'm driving.

If the rear is too high, I would look at the height sensor or the exhause valve in the compressor assembly. The rear shocks would not be suspect.

like KHE said The sensor on the rear is out of whack or the exhaust valve on the compressor is not relieving the presure. Check the sensor first it is found at the rear axle a small box with a small arm that senses how low the rear end is, if the arm falls off it will sense the rear is low and add more air.If the compressor exhaust valve is not releasing the air, pull the fuse for the level control and take off one of the rear tires you will see the hose going to the shock pull the clip off and take the line off the shock the air will release, you only have to pull the line off one side it equalizes the air in both shocks, put the line back on.I usually have only me in the car most of the time and a front passenger the rest of the time so I left the fuse out my car rides perfect. If you load your car with passengers then your rear will probably sag. The compressor runs everytime you start the car and the exhaust vave releases the excess pressure, my exhaust valve wasn't working properly and by the fourth or fifth time I started it, the shocks were maxed out again and I would have to pull the line off the shocks, finally I just pulled the fuse and its been fine since.Everytime someone posts this problem I remember I need to fix that it's been a few months I don't even notice

I can't tell you on your car, I have an eldo and it was in the trunk against the back seat. The fuse you are looking for is ELC (electronic level control) you should be able to locate it by your owners manual. You cannot just pull the fuse to get the car level, pulling the fuse only keeps it from pumping them back up again. You need to pull one of the air lines off one of the shocks to get it lowered, it is not that hard the most time consuming is taking the tire off to get to it.It has a clip much like a spring hose clamp, just squeeze it with pliers and pull the line off, and do the opposite to replace it

This is not a problem with this strut as others said this is related to the level control or the exhaust circuit. This happened to me on my 91 also, it was way high in the rear and hopped over bumps and looked ridiculous. You can download a copy of your owners manual (glove box manual) in PDF form and do a search for fuses, here:

If it is NOT fully up, it may be the level control, look for disconnected links at the level control. My 91 had two fuses one for the compressor and one for the exhaust if I recall. Download a copy and keep it on your hard drive, Mike

What worked? Can you explain in more detail? A fuse was blown?
