JBuckley
Well with the high gas prices we are seeing the "Fuel Saver" coming out of the wood work again. This months Popular Mechanics test them out and guess what they all do not work, imagagine my surprise! As a matter of fact every one cause you to lose HP and milage. Very interesting article, just wish they had it on line, but that won't happen till the next issue comes out. John John

rgnoon
Just read the article myself...and not as if anyone here would bother with these pieces of crap, but FYI: Intake Twister: - $20, Doesn't work, could fail and damage expensive parts. Electronic Engine Ionizer Fuel Saver: - Costs $80 retail, about $2 to make. When being tested on the dyno, one of the caps melted and dripped electrolytic cap goo into the manifold and resulted in a lovely engine fire spewing 2 foot tall flames. AquaTune - $399. Just a horrible application of water injection that has great pottential to damage your engine and very little pottential of actually working. These are just the three that Pop Mech clearly found could cause serious damage.

Big Jay Yes, I've already emailed that to the usual list of victims. Great laugh! Thanks' Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
