can you swap the floor shifter out of a 2002 Seville into a 1999 Eldorado?

I highly doubt it as they are completely different.

The Seville got a whole makeover in 1998 and everything literally changed. If at least the dash was the same I would say maybe, but they made drastic changes

Anything is possible.....just go to any car show.

It would not be a drop in and go mod. It would require substantial modification.

What part do you like?.....the button less shifter handle or the zig gate for the gears?

I agree with Logan. I have done so many installs, modifications, etc... Sometimes I just weigh the amount of work to make it work.

So a little help here.

The center console on the E/K platform goes all the way up to the bottom of the upper dash vents(wood panel)

If it was column shift then the climate controls were part of the IPC, as well as the information center.

The radio style did not change. I am running 2000s style radios in my 1997s.

Please post a pic of the 1998 forward console. I am curious to see that part for comparison.

I am also curious how much other than the bezel itself you want to change. I do believe you would lose your cupholders as the bezel is longer. Other than that the concept is not that far off.

97 has 2 part bezel and ashtray.

2002 has a 1 part tray and bezel

here is a pic of the 2002 Seville shifter assembly. I am pretty certain that my 97 Seville mounted with 4 bolts to the console. I just had to replace it last year. This is a good reference if you want to compare mounting
