Changing my head light and noticed this Air tube just sitting there. Looks like an air intake tube, has a screen filter in it and a gasket around the connection, but no were to attach, it any Ideas. My guess is maybe on another model it had a place, but not on mine. I have a 2002 SLS, funny thing I also have a '98 STS and it doesn't even have the air tube. Doesn't seem to hurt anything, I was just wondering if it had a place.

the air pump is located behind the front bumper, left side under headlight.

Can be accessed by removing the wheelwell.

But is the top supposed to attach to some thing, the way it has the seal and the way it has snaps opposite each other its like it attaches to a box or something . but there isn't anything there. I would post a picture but i can't figure out how to.

When the car is cold, start it up, and see if it sucks air into the tube for about 2 minutes. I would imagine it would since you didn't mention any secondary air injection codes. I thought it connects to the airbox after the air filter
