Looks like an air intake tube, has a screen filter in it and a gasket around the connection, but no were to attach, it any Ideas. My guess is maybe on another model it had a place, but not on mine. I have a 2002 SLS, funny thing I also have a '98 STS and it doesn't even have the air tube. Doesn't seem to hurt anything, I was just wondering if it had a place. winterset Posted July 20, 2014 Report Share Posted July 20, 2014 When the car is cold, start it up, and see if it sucks air into the tube for about 2 minutes. I would imagine it would since you didn't mention any secondary air injection codes.
