Frankman
Seems the car 94 Deville 4.9L is harder to start after driving it a while. Example being errands. When I go to start the hot car it sounds like the battery is on it last couple of cranks, then starts right up. When I leave it overnight its fine in the am. The ignition is only a couple of years old. Its from Cadillac not aftermarket.
winterset
I suspect a bad battery. Open the hood, start the car, and just when it gets to operating temperature, shut it off, and then restart it, to see if there is the weak crank. This will rule out a bad battery that shows symptoms when heated. Otherwise, it could be a bad coolant temperature sensor. Not sure if you can check codes easily.
