mitlar37
My 99 Deville started blowing hot air from driver side vents and cold air from passenger side vents when I have AC going. I can raise the temp and turn on heat and that seems to be ok - it's just when I run the AC I have to shut off driver side vents to keep hot air from blowing from them. Any ideas or diagrams would be most helpful.
Texas Jim
That usually means it is slightly low on Freon...
bigtone
That usually means it is slightly low on Freon... I agree with the above. If you put your hands on the evaporator inlet and outlet piping, they should feel close to the same temp. If the outlet feels warm compared to the inlet, you are slightly low on freon, probably not low enough to throw a code yet.
cdgrinci
+1, low refrigerant; hopefully you just have a small leak. Topping off your charge would be the first thing to try, if leak gets worse, then off for correction.
