Bruce Nunnally
Interesting blog post at http://www.americanrestomods.com The project we have on hand is a 1960 Cadillac Coupe ( <<<<< click for the full restomod build gallery) receiving a 6.0L LS implant. In our case, the stock front cross member on the Cadillac does not allow the LS engine to sit low enough in the engine bay, so we swapped in a Heidts front cross member. Below you will find the basic steps we followed along with some things to be considered as you move along. Bruce Nunnally
I assumed from the article that it is not complete yet, so hopefully there will be 'after' pics once it is. joeb
A caddy with a LS motor? Isn't that a cts-v?
airmike
Good one joeb! speaking of, if anyone is interested in a 2011 cts-v with a salvage title, there is a very nice looking one on the IAA insurance auction in Miami, Fl ...actually 2 but one is certificate of destruction (I don't know about those, can you get a title?).. with under 5000 miles on them. joeb
removing the stock crossmember did not leave any frame material. they had to fill in the gap, so to speak. you see the massive stock crossmember and compact aftermarket stuff and wonder if it is sturdy enough for this beast. and the pics show a modded rear suspension also. is it an IRS rear end? hard to tell.
