Bruce Nunnally
Hi Brad, Thanks for letting our readers know about your service shop in Indy. You might include contact info as well; here is the link to Brad's Ebay ad. He is offering head gasket repair using Norm's inserts for $1,500 + parts (around $600). The website info referenced in Brad's post above is at cadillacspecialties.com <object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6956YYLd8PU?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6956YYLd8PU?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6956YYLd8PU?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="390" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> This is a video of drilling and tapping the right (rear) bank with the engine in the car of a 1998 Deville. <object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISfcE69cikk?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISfcE69cikk?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISfcE69cikk?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="390" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> This is a video of drilling and tapping the left (front) bank with the engine in the car of a 1998 Deville. The Cadillac specialties website mentions Kentuky, but you are in Indianapolis. Is there an association there? joeb
in the video of the rear bank, he drills hole with guide bushing. than he takes out bushing and drills freehand? than he installs another bushing and taps. the tap does not go full depth of the hole? does not seem to look that way. is the drilled hole 3" deep and the insert only 1.8" deep? (numbers for reference only) so insert is not as deep as hole?

Bruce Nunnally
For our Readers, ttt means "to the top", an indication that Barczy01 still wishes he knew the answer to his question and so is updating the thread to bring it 'to the top' of the index. Unfortunately, I think you would have to contact the people in the video for such a specific response.
