84vette96
I am new to this site and my Caddy. I need the same info. I tried the search with no luck. An answer would be great so I don't start breaking plastic dash parts. Thanks
Jersey Bob
I'm looking to do the same except with a 92 Seville STS. It seems in my case the ac vents don't come out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to breake any more plastic dashboard parts. Thanks
Logan
Each of the 4 vents has to come out (tricky to do). Then there is a hidden screw above each vent opening. Then 3 more screws under the defrost grille. Jersey Bob
Ok. I got it apart this weekend. The only thing was that clips to release the ac vents were on the sides of the vent. Everything else I was reading said top and bottom. Once I finally found the release clips and got the vents out it was a piece of cake. This was on a 92 STS. I wound up resoldering an integrated circuit IPC that when squeezed the circuit board near caused the display to come and go. So far, so good, but it has only been two days, but then again that's longer than it has worked since it started acting up. Here is a link to picture that I found online on how to set up the IPC to troubleshoot it. I basically did the same thing. http://www.repairnation.com/maintain_repair/Cadillac/dash_repair.htm And here's a link explaining in better detail than I could ever do. Thanks to Mark G. for this write up, it seems to have solved my problem. http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-forum/t-27267.html
