But...MOST PEOPLE are not CAR GUYS and they believe whatever the TV tells them to believe. I am often amazed when talking to people...especially people under about 40...how little they know about a car. They barely know how to put gas in it. Jim unfortunately cars have become appliances to most people. Just get it fixed an use it. Point A to Point B. My own son drives a POS, often without brake lights, with bad tires, squeeling or with an active problem an he just drives long distances with it. I am disappointed and shocked by his lack of interest and his lack of wanting to learn something from me regarding cars... he was born in 86. Recently he has a problem where as his battery would go dead over night. He even took it to local mechanics who did nothing but charge or replace his battery...amazing. If he did not disconnect the battery it died. He came to my house and I fixed the problem in 10 minutes while he ate dessert inside, as he showed no interest..... the trunk light was staying on.... At his graduation, in May he had NO brakelights when I followed him to the restaurant.... it was a sunday. I gave him money and told him to go to a parts place and buy the bulbs, showed him how to R&R them, the number of the bulb, etc... I explained to him that NO BRAKELIGHTS is VERY DANGEROUS.... 4 months later, he came to my house and STILL had no brakelights...... UGH, what is wrong with kids? MAC Posted February 2, 2011 Report Share Posted February 2, 2011 And soon gas prices will be $5 and above because Congress has refused to recognize the need to exploit U.S. natural resources, which includes estimated oil reserves to be equal to Saudi Arabia's. So when gas prices go through the roof we can blame liberals for screwing us once again. But guess what--the idiots who continuously vote for liberals like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi will probably keep on electing these clueless types, which brings me to my next point. Americans are also at fault for high gas prices and the state of the economy because too many have been suckered by party-politics and refuse to elect people who really care about the United States and the well-being of the People. The founding fathers only wanted landowners to vote because they believed they had a long term stake in the direction of the nation and tended to be more educated. When we have a bunch of ignorant morons voting, we can expect idiots to be elected. This is why educated conservatives in particular must get off their duffs and vote to try to counter the idiot vote by electing conservatives who believe in limited government like the founders did. I'm an Independent and will vote Tea Party or whoever I think will help break the grip of party-politics, which is damaging to our country.
