skyman
Just wondering what the general concensus is on just doing a drain and refill with a filter change as opposed to using one of those new $5,000 machines that takes all the fluid out of the tranny. WarrenJ
Disconnect the tranny line from the radiator and run it into a container for a minute or two. The tranny will empty itself. Don't forget to refill! There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
KHE
Do not have your transmission flushed. Tons of information in the archives on that topic... Drop the pan and clean the screens, replace the gasket with an OEM gasket. I believe the '05 came with regular Dexron 3 trans fluid. Ranger
The filter is internal and only gets changed at tear down. There are 2 reusable screens as Kevin mentioned. Dropping the pan allows you to clean the film in it and more importantly, the magnet.
