98' deville, its getting cold out the past few days and when I turn the heat on I can hear the a/c compressor running too. I pulled the fuse so they dont run simutaneously but can anyone help? By the way the heat works but it is blowing out the defrost which I believe is just a vacuum line that I have not repaired yet

Put the fuse back in, the AC is suppose to run to dehumidify the air that is delivered, once the temp gets below a certain temp, it will turn off, what you are seeing is normal

Check for AC codes for the defroster problem and the cooling distribution problem
