yngrydr'92
Hey caddy lovers. I was wanting to know if you can help diagnose what could be wrong with my A/C. I recently recharged my air. I put 2 cans in and it's holding pressure in the cool zone and also the compressor is running. But it's still blowing hot air!! Can someone please let me know what the problem could be? It's very hot right now. And leather seats without a/c is a bad mixture!!!
BodybyFisher
I never "put in cans".... I have it evacuated and recharged by a knowledgable shop, the evacuation process rids the system of moisture and the freon is accurately installed Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
Ranger
Bad compressor, clogged orifice tube, stuck open air mix door, condenser clogged with bugs, just to name a few. Start by pulling the DTC's.
KHE
Feel the evaporator inlet and outlet lines - they should be cold to the touch and about the same temperature. If they are, then the problem is a blend door issue. Kevin '93 Fleetwood Brougham '05 Deville '04 Deville 2013 Silverado Z71
