deuhvon13
Does anyone know how to assest this code 507?
Doz
In my book (deville and seville) a P0507 is high idle speed, I'd check fuses/ sensors first. I am fairly new to owning a cadillac and do not know what I'm talking about really. I hoped this helped...
Cadillac Jim
P0507 Idle Speed High This is what Doz says, from his manual. If you write down *all* the codes and post them here, we have some very knowledgeable people that may be able to help you diagnose your problem. The best way to read them is from the HVAC buttons (see my signature block for a link to a Caddyinfo page on how to do this if you aren't already familiar with that). They will be of the form PCM P0507 CURRENT where the first three letters are the module (PCM, IPC, etc.), the letter and four digits the OBD II code, and followed by CURRENT or HISTORY depending on whether the fault is currently being detected or not. There are a lot of reasons that this code can be thrown, including sticking idle control motor, vacuum leaks, etc. All the codes paints a more complete picture. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. Ranger
When was the last time the TB was cleaned? Perhaps it's carboned up and the throttle plate is not closing completely.
BodybyFisher
True, that is what happens to mine, clean the TB throat and plate especially the edges. It takes about 20 minutes to propertly clean a TB.
