In my book (deville and seville) a P0507 is high idle speed, I'd check fuses/ sensors first. I am fairly new to owning a cadillac and do not know what I'm talking about really. I hoped this helped...

P0507 Idle Speed High

This is what Doz says, from his manual. If you write down *all* the codes and post them here, we have some very knowledgeable people that may be able to help you diagnose your problem. The best way to read them is from the HVAC buttons (see my signature block for a link to a Caddyinfo page on how to do this if you aren't already familiar with that). They will be of the form

PCM P0507 CURRENT

where the first three letters are the module (PCM, IPC, etc.), the letter and four digits the OBD II code, and followed by CURRENT or HISTORY depending on whether the fault is currently being detected or not.

There are a lot of reasons that this code can be thrown, including sticking idle control motor, vacuum leaks, etc. All the codes paints a more complete picture.

True, that is what happens to mine, clean the TB throat and plate especially the edges. It takes about 20 minutes to propertly clean a TB. The dirt gunk hangs the plate open
