Bruce Nunnally
P0141 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 2) Examine the O2 sensor wiring and the O2 sensor. The sensor is a service item, with a relatively inexpensive replacement cost, so it is likely to simply need replacement. BodybyFisher
Bank 1 Sensor 2 is going to be behind the CAT. Ranger your post has made me wonder if my chart that i have been using for years is correct, isn't it the pre cat sensor or the front cat sensor? JimD
My 1998 Seville Service Manual shows two different oxygen sensor wiring diagrams in the Engine Controls section. One diagram shows four oxygen sensors with a title that includes "(Early Production)". The second diagram shows three oxygen sensors with the a title that includes "(Later Production)". No dates are given but my '98 Seville came to life in February, 1998 and I have three oxygen sensors. The bank 1, sensor 2 nomenclature was dropped. And that makes sense because the bank 1, sensor 2 is no longer installed. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !
Bernhard
Hi folks, and thank you for all comments. Still somewhat confused: does bank 1 sensor 2 still exist, and is location behind CAT correct?
JimD
Hi folks, and thank you for all comments. Still somewhat confused: does bank 1 sensor 2 still exist, and is location behind CAT correct? Correct. We sort of hi-jacked your thread and the question got buried in the dust. Bank 1 sensor 2 is directly behind the catalytic converter on your year model. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !
