DTStryAgain
6 Attempts at trying to repair this. Nice hearing this chiming in your ear every 15 seconds for the last year and watching it flash in your face!
PAUL T
Sounds like the dealership sucks! Complain to the regional office or call the Cadillac customer service 800 number in your owners manual, or better yet email this address and voice your concerns: assist@cadillac.com It must still be under warranty. If you just want to trash Cadillacs then go somewhere else.
Bronson
I would be pissed too. I would e-mail them to death, "spam um". I've had to do the same, basic cadillac 101 right, just fix it. Has the six attemps been all at the same dealership? Sounds like some of the gene pool is lacking in the service dept.

Bronson, since you are relatively new I will tell you that this guy comes out of the woodwork every few months just to aggravate everyone, see this post in April, http://caddyinfo.ipbhost.com/index.php?sho...c=1317&hl=towed If the guy really wanted to get it fixed he would have by now, some people love to feel like victims and moan. I am sure there is a story behind this that he is not telling us.... I just wish he would sell it.
98Concours
They probably would have fixed it on the 7th repair. I thought they gave you a new car? If you're not happy with it, you might try ford. They have many more dealerships where you can blow off your unhappyness. JasonA
Dang dude, you got snowed! They gave you a "new" 2004 DTS with over 22,000 miles??? Ha ha ha!!! I've heard a saying one time, and think it's fitting here: "Tis better to leave your mouth shut, and have people think you're a fool, than to open your mouth, and remove all doubt." Regis
mmm....I'm guessing early 40's, unsatisfying marriage, 2-3 kids, thinks or has to be the "life" of the party, aviator style sunglasses, in sales, has friends but only ones that can be intimidated easily, unreasonable expectations but is clueless to it, sees problems as a fault of someone other then self, no one is good enough..... am I getting close? -kg 207,000 miles Never towed "Burns" rubber " I've never considered myself to be all that conservative, but it seems the more liberal some people get the more conservative I become. DTStryAgain
...and prettier than you "kger2"..LOL. No, that's not a 2004 with 24,000 miles on it. It's the same 2002 that I still have awaiting delivery of the 2005 that my attorney negotiated for me to order. Well, just have to listen to the "bing" chiming every 15 seconds till the new one comes in. Cadillac is dumbfounded with this and the other 190 problems with the car. I'll post the VIN to this car when all is said and done because I'm sure they'll just throw it on a lot to re-sell. Hopefully in your town! DTStryAgain
Gee "kger2" after re-reading that post of yours, sounds like you've been in some "therapy" of some type. I had a poor friend that went through therapy for that "repressed memory" crap. He's still f'd up.

98Concours
I just don't understand why on earth you would want another Cadillac. I also don't understand what purpose your posts serve. Back in 2001, I purchased a new Trooper. It started pulling to the right soon after I got it. 3 different dealers worked on it and couldn't get it to track to my satisfaction. Other than that one problem, the SUV was perfect. I never once posted on the Isuzu boards or bad mouthed the vehicle. The pulling drove me crazy, so a year later and 12,000 miles, I traded it in on another Isuzu which I love. Did I loose money? You bet! Do I care? Nope! Did I become an A** Hole like some people? Nope! You see, life is way to short to get riled up and make it your mission to belittle someone or some company. It just does no good......only upsets yourself. Personally, I can't wait for the new STS to come in. I think I want one. You need to realize all vehicles are machines made by humans and robots (which are made by humans). Any vehicle can be a "lemon". It doesn't mean all vehicles made by any one specific company are bad. You just happened to get one that wasn't right. Replace it with another brand and move on! It represents ONLY vehicles bought back in May, 2004 and I only extracted the Cadillacs from the list. The Cadillacs represented a ***VERY*** small portion of the entire list. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans. Marika
My point for posting the Cadillac lemons was to show how FEW there are. Stop harassing me ok? And speaking of lemons, Scotty, from what I've read about your Cadillac, I think it qualifies under the Lemon Law....LOLOL!!!! If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans.

Right, your statement of how little Cadillac comprised was not STRONG enough, when I actually looked at that list (especially CITING NJ Cadillac LEMONS on this site by themselves without the additional support). My POST was in support of your POST... FURTHERMORE.......I supported your changing of the belts and hoses every 2 years the other day.... Harrassment, huh? I think attacking someones car is harrassment on this site..

As for poking fun at your Cadillac, you didn't notice this -----> Didn't know you defended me as to belt/hose changing intervals. I'll have to go look for that thread again. Couldn't find it. If you did, thank you. What got me about your LEMON post was that you were responding to a guy that comes here every few months to get a rise out of us and you fell for his BS hook line and sinker. To bring up Cadillac RELATED to LEMONS AT ALL in to help this guy was unproductive. While I realize that you said that Cadillac was a small number, THAT statement alone was NOT strong enough. Mentioning CADILLAC and LEMON in the same sentence irked me and was damaging to Cadillac. Afterall, do you know WHY they are lemons? Maybe they were ORIGINALLY sold as rental cars and beat to hell! Maybe someone drove them into the ground with NO maintenance on a LEASE! I felt it was especially inappropriate with this poster, who YOU finally remembered changed his story that it was his NEIGHBORS car. (if you look back I credited you with having a good memory). I wanted EVERYONE to know how REALLY insignificant cadillac was on the LEMON LAW listing, as MANY will see CADILLAC and LEMON in your post and make an IMPROPER association. Its the implication that bothered me. This is a Cadillac Enthusiast site. Don't get me wrong I am not implying censorship, I just feel that some of your posts are negative and open ended. Some of your posts are abrasive and cause controversy, like this one in spite of the fact that our local GM engineer has spoken in depth about DEXCOOL and that it does not cause problems: "Yep, Dex-cool has damaged a lot of engines, especially Chevy Blazers. There's a class action lawsuit brewing for anyone interested in contacting that law firm whose link I posted. I'm glad I still use the old "green stuff" and this one, "I would play it safe and ask two sources: (1) an independent mechanic that you know and trust and (2) a dealership that specializes in your vehicle. Someone's got have a service bulletin regarding this problem and will be able to recommend what you can use in your particular vehicle if you don't want to or can no longer fill up with Dex-cool" Unsupported opinions, conjecture, internet newsgroups and the opinions of the BIAS liberal press mean nothing to me and you should use caution regurgitating it. Even the car mags are BIAS. We have a litigious society and a liberal press that loaths corporations and will use anything to undermine US corporations. The only opinion that means anything to me and the reason I continue to come here is the engineer's opinion (bbobynski and others who have first hand experience) who explained how GM validated the product IN DEPTH and that is enough for me! But it is very obvious that you don't seem to care about the engineers opinion and would rather find fault in his conclusions or opinions continually (recall the injector cleaner and Dexcool discussions). You see its not harrassment its me and others not liking your narrow eyed, doubting Thomas slant on things. Lets face it I'm not the first that you have gone head to head with. We come here for information and answers you can't get anywhere else and to rub elbows with knowledgable experienced people. We all know how to search GOOGLE and we can find positive and negative opinions there. I for one would appreciate it if you acted more like a cadillac enthusiast and not continually look for fault, being negative, ignoring and refuting our resident experts, and dropping red herrings to cast doubt. I can tell you that if you continue you bashing negative stance we will go head to head again I personally loath "the glass it half empty people". LOLOL!!!! <<< just poking fun doesnt that make it all better?
Marika
What a load of bullshit, blather and nonsense. Get off the soap box. It's obvious you read what you want to read, read it the way you see fit and interpret what you want to see, usually in a negative sense. I'm going to ignore your blather from now on. Post what you want, you'll get no response from me. If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans.
